Sample Arrival and Color Correction

Sample Arrival and Color Correction

Good news everyone!  The new POMkin samples have arrived and they sound/feel even better than the first set of samples!  Some of you may have seen the new sound test I put out on instagram.  I still have some other sound test on a few different keebs, so you can hear what they sound like on both plastic and aluminum keebies.

The not-so-good news is that the color was a bit off from the first set of samples and the Pantone color code I gave them (pictured above).  It was much lighter than intended...After taking a vote on instagram, most people were leaning towards the darker colored (first sample) housing.  For that reason I immediately got in contact with the manufacturer to begin correcting the color.  Just today they got back to me with pictures of new color cards (pictured below), comparing the first attempt and the newly corrected color.  The shade of orange looks much better now, so we are going to proceed with beginning production!

What does this mean?  This means that the POMkin switch will now be put into the production queue and will begin ASAP.  Then they will be shipped out to me, for separating and shipping out to you lovely folks with the novelty pumpkin containers and other goodies!  Thank you so much for your patience and support throughout this entire process.  I have definitely learned a lot and future switches will be produced on a much faster timeline, without switching of manufacturers and hopefully less unforeseen timeline delays.  I have already got some irons in the fire so to speak!  I appreciate each and every one of you and I am so excited to ship these POMkins off to you in the near future.
